Washington Parish school board member found dead inside vehicle

FRANKLINTON, La. ( WGNO ) — The Franklinton Police Department is investigating after finding a man dead inside his vehicle.

On Sunday, Oct. 6, FPD officers responded to the 1400 block of Parker Street on a call of a suspected death.

Upon arrival, they found 67-year-old Frankie L. Crosby Sr. inside his vehicle at the location.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crosby was a member of the Washington Parish School Board who released a statement following the news.

Crosby was also an associate pastor at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Church officiants released a statement regarding Crosby.

Algiers Charter School transportation services return

An investigation done by FPD in collaboration with the Louisiana State Police Crime and Investigation Division determined there was no evidence of foul play.

No further details are available at this time. The Washington Parish Coroner's Office will release more information after an autopsy is done and the cause of death is revealed.
