The San Francisco 49ers could not survive against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon, falling to their division rival in a dramatic 20-17 loss. The Niners and Seahawks now both have a 5-5 record on the season.

Check out some of the biggest highlights from the game:

Seattle took the first lead of the game, making a field goal to take a 3-0 lead in the first quarter. However, the Niners answered with the first touchdown of the game in the final minutes of the quarter. On 2nd & goal from the 10, Brock Purdy dropped back to pass, didn't like his options, scrambled to his right and dove into the endzone.

The Seahawks cut their deficit in the second quarter, making another field goal. After getting the ball to start the second half, Seattle had a chance to take control of the game. Instead, Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith threw an interception. He dropped back on 3rd and 8 from their own 17 and was forced out of the pocket by the Niners pass rush. He tried to find a receiver downfield, but air mailed his target and it was picked off by Isaac Yiadom.

Trailing 13-10, the Niners needed a score. Given kicker Jake Moody's recent struggles, head coach Kyle Shanahan surely did not want any difficult fourth-down decisions. Luckily for him, Jauan Jennings showed up with some huge conversions. The best highlight of the bunch came on 3rd & 11 from the Seahawks 21, when Jennings hauled in the pass well short of the first-down marker before powering through multiple defenders.

After a play like that, Jennings got rewarded with an easy touchdown reception.

The Seahawks began marching down the field once again. After the Niners were unable to stop them on a fourth-down and short around midfield, but they didn't miss another opportunity shortly after. After a pair of questionable referee decisions (one that resulted in a Seahawks catch despite the receiver seemingly being out of bounds and another that resulted in Smith ruled short of a first down on a sneak), it was 4th & inches. Seattle handed the ball to their fullback Zach Charbonnet, but he was bottled up.

Unfortunately for the defense, the offense was unable to finish the job. Shanahan tried to take advantage of an aggressive run defense, but Purdy was unable to complete a pass to Deebo Samuel, which allowed the Seahawks to retain a timeout. On the subsequent drive, the Seahawks were able to stop the clock in the final minute, and this time it was Smith who scrambled away from the pocket and into the endzone for the game-winning score.
