Waynesburg edges Carlynton in OT

WAYNESBURG — Jake Stephenson scored two touchdowns, including one in overtime, as Waynesburg edged Carlynton, 27-26, on Friday in Class 2A Century Conference play.
Stephenson reached the end zone on a one-yard run in overtime and Dalton Taylor made the extra point, which proved to be the game-winning point, as the Raiders improved to 2-1 in conference play and 4-3 overall.
Stephenson scored on a three-yard run in the second quarter and Ross Tennant added touchdown runs of two and 15 yards. Stephenson rushed for 121 yards on 17 carries and Tennant gained 68 on 12 carries. Stephenson was 8 of 10 for 113 yards.
