WCG Sunday Livestream: NFL Week 3 - Chicago Bears vs Indianapolis Colts

J.Thompson2 hr ago
Good morning folks.

We knew going into the first season of Caleb Williams' Chicago Bears career that there would be some rookie bumps in the road. If they're going to be there, weeks one and two are the prime times to have them.

You just typically figure that they don't come packaged with a side of offensive line ineptitude.

Sunday night against the Houston Texans wasn't at all what Bears fans were envisioning from the rookie, but it's also a reminder to take a breath, remember that quarterbacks don't typically explode in their first two games, and be ready for today's game against the Indianapolis Colts .

As bad as the seven sacks looked and as bad as the two late interceptions were by Williams, there was a lot of improvement and a lot of good demonstrated in the first half. Today should be another step forward in that development.

In a classic case of the movable force meeting the resistible object, he Navy and Orange have been absolutely terrible running the ball relying on D'Andre Swift and long-developing outside plays, and today's Colts' defense comes in giving up everything on the ground to anyone who asks. If there's a get-right game for a rush offense that's refused to give Khalil Herbert consistent carries early on, this should be the one. For the Bears to win and give Caleb the best chance at healthy development, a balanced offense would be a great start.

To 2-1. Bear Down, my friends.

Today's WCG Sunday Livestream is reunited and unbothered. Last Sunday was bad, but there are a lot more opportunities for Williams' development, and it's way too early for us to panic about the big picture.

Of course, if you want to panic and/or tell us how wrong we are, there are ways to do that:
