WCSO arrests man wanted for murder in Charlotte, NC

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) arrested a man wanted for first-degree murder on Tuesday.

According to a news release from WCSO, Henry Centeno Renteria, 45, was arrested in Gray Tuesday morning for an incident that occurred on March 16, 2024, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Kingsport man sentenced to 17 years for trafficking meth, fentanyl

WCSO charged Renteria with being a fugitive from justice, and he has an active arrest warrant for first-degree murder from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Renteria was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond pending extradition. He will appear in court on Wednesday.
