ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The remainder of Saturday should be just as nice as the first half was, with mostly clear skies and seasonable temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. It feels like Fall! Overnight we'll be cool into the 50s, so if you're out past sunset keep a jacket handy.

Sunday, we start out good to go in the morning climbing steadily in temperature into the afternoon peaking in the low 70s with increasing cloud cover ahead of a cold front. The front will have some kick to it and the potential for strong to severe storms in tow. Wind and hail are the primary concerns with these storms, the chance of a brief spin-up in the storms too can't be fully ruled out especially further west. Timing will be in the late afternoon through the evening. Storms will be moving quickly, so despite some also decent downpours with them, and flooding risk is limited to primarily pooling and ponding.

Now behind a potent a cold front by Monday, temperatures take a turn into the low 60s and upper 50s, lows will even drop into the 40s for much of the region! This extends into Tuesday and Wednesday too, where highs won't even break the 50s. In addition to the cooler air, scattered lake effect rain showers will dot the region through the first half of the week.

We'll start climbing temperature wise by Thursday as skies dry out. By next weekend we're right back to the upper 60s and low 70s, but as we get deeper into October, we know it can't last to long. We'll get to how long though as we get closer.
