Week 3 DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Picks, Lineup Tips for Sunday

Alika Jenner/ Another Sunday has arrived, and the NFL is set to deliver more thrilling action as the Week 3 slate continues. Thirteen games are on the schedule, with seven in the early window, five in the late afternoon and a Sunday night matchup featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy football season is also in full swing. And whether your traditional fantasy team is performing well or not, you may be looking to dabble into daily fantasy as well.

If so, here are some DFS tips for the upcoming Week 3 action on Sunday. (All prices are via DraftKings Sportsbook .)

Michael Zagaris/San Francisco 49ers/ The San Francisco 49ers are going on the road to face the NFC West rival Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, and a pair of playmakers could bring tremendous value in that matchup from the Niners' side. Both running back Jordan Mason ($6,200) and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk ($6,200) have low price tags, considering the production they could bring.

Mason will again be San Francisco's lead back with Christian McCaffrey sidelined due to Achilles tendinitis. The 25-year-old is having a stellar start to the season, rushing for 247 yards and two touchdowns through two weeks.

Meanwhile, Aiyuk should get plenty of targets with Deebo Samuel (calf) out for the game. It could be the type of situation that Aiyuk needs to get going after recording only six catches for 71 yards over the 49ers' first two games.

Do whatever you can to try to stack both Mason and Aiyuk in Sunday DFS lineups.

Norm Hall/ Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is off to a terrific start to the 2024 season. The 27-year-old has passed for 428 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions, while also rushing for 116 yards on only 10 attempts.

Murray ($6,900) will cost a good bit to start at QB in DFS lineups on Sunday, but he should be well worth it. The Cardinals are hosting the Detroit Lions in what could be a high-scoring, back-and-forth affair.

There should be plenty of offense in Glendale, Ariz., this week, and that should bode well for Murray, who will likely again be at the center of it. Count on him to deliver another big performance to keep his hot start going.

Ken Murray/Icon Sportswire via A banged up Houston Texans backfield could lead to a strong showing for Cam Akers on Sunday. The team is set to be without both Joe Mixon (ankle) and Dameon Pierce (hamstring) for its road matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Akers ($4,700) could end up being a DFS steal, because he should get a heavy workload. The 25-year-old wasn't too involved over the first two weeks of his first season in Houston (35 yards on eight total touches), but that will likely have to change on Sunday.

It's worth taking a chance on Akers, who had some success with the Rams early in his six-year NFL career. Maybe this will be the performance that gets him back on the fantasy map.
