Western New York woman believed to have been killed in Budapest

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Western New York resident from Fredonia who went missing in Budapest is believed to have been killed, Hungarian police said.

Mackenzie Michalski, 31, who had went to Hungary as a tourist, was last seen at a nightclub on Tuesday. She worked as a nurse practitioner.

Investigators have arrested a 37-year-old man from Ireland that Michalski has seen with at several clubs that night. Police said the man confessed to the killing and showed police where he hid her body.
