Lucia Kickham has been performing and collaborating internationally since 2011. Trained in The Netherlands, she has worked with many companies and artists including Liz Roche Company, Philip Connaughton, Junk Ensemble, TRASH NL Maria Nilsson Waller and Jessie Keenan,Tonnta and Oonagh Kearney . She regularly guest tutors on the BA and MA contemporary dance courses at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at University of Limerick.

In recent years, Lucia has been a recipient of awards from the Arts Council of Ireland (Next Generation 2020, Agility and Project Awards), Dance Ireland, Tipperary Dance, Grand Studio Brussels and Tanztendenz Munich (International Residency Exchange Programme).

Commenting on the project, Lucia said: "I'm so pleased to be able to create this dance work at this scale in the place where I live. It's really important to me that I can base my work in my hometown, and to have the support from Luail – Ireland's new National Dance Company means I can reach more people from the community."

She continued: "I see this project as a participatory work. The stories we share together as part of our dance workshops in October and into 2025, will inform a piece that will be shown along the Prom on March 23 2025, to celebrate spring and the brighter evenings ahead. So, whether you're an avid walker, a parent in the playground, if you're part of a social group who meets along the Prom, or are involved in its conservation, I'd love it if you would walk with Me."

Lucia's dance walks and workshops will take place in October, and in early 2025, in order to inform a community-led dance project titled 'Walk with Me.' This project has been commissioned by Luail – Ireland's New National and all-island Dance Company, as part of an all-island dance project called To This I Belong – a commission celebrating home, landscape and community.

The October dance walks will take place every Tuesday at the Enniscorthy playground at 2 p.m. and the dance workshop will take place on Saturday October 19 from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. in the Waterfront Pool and Leisure centre.
