Wexford jewellery store opens its doors for ‘Meet the Designer Showcase’

The Upper Esmonde Street store is best known for its Liwu jewellery brand, from local designer and silversmith Áine Breen, who also owns the store.

Áine's special guest designer this Saturday is Ale Walsh, a celebrated jewellery and bag maker, known for her stunning beaded earrings and bracelets collection.

Originally from Chile, she now lives in Portmarnock in Dublin, creating designs inspired by a combination of her South American roots and time spent in south-east Asia. Ale developed a love of design in the Philippines, where the native materials, handmade textiles and beads inspired her very original fashion accessories, known for vibrant colour and natural textures.

Saturday's Meet the Designer Showcase will be an introduction to jewellery design, with a craft workshop and the opportunity to try beaded jewellery making with Ale, and learn about Áine's silversmithing and local design inspiration.

Look out for special offers on Meet the Designer Day too, and there will be plenty of inspiration for festive gifts.

Unique pieces from independent Irish jewellery designers, and leading international niche brands are stocked in Áine Breen's delightful store. The popular one-stop gift store also has cards, stationery, bags, glasses chains, jewellery cases and mobile phone holders.

The highlight of Lu & Mol's active annual social calendar is Friday, November 29, as their festive Customer Appreciation Evening takes place in-person.

From from 5p.m. to 8p.m., the gift-shop becomes party central, with nibbles and drinks, music, exclusive Black Friday purchases, a free gift with purchase, double loyalty points, and a raffle.

Irish jewellery and gift brands will be showcased, as a special touch of home for loved ones living abroad. From fine jewellery in precious metals, to spectacular costume pieces, the party season glitz on offer will make any outfit sparkle.

There will be discounts on accessories too, including the Cluse brand of watches for men and women, and the on-trend functional Cluse backpack bags that are wipe-clean and water-resistant, in a variety of classic colours and styles.

Lu & Mol's also has Black Friday deals available online, and free shipping within Ireland on orders over €100.

As well as Liwu Jewellery's Irish heritage symbols, classic initials and birthstones, Irish brands on sale include Ale Walsh and Magpie Rose. International brands include elegant Nilai Jewellery, and the colourful Couer de Leon collection, among an eclectic selection of classic and artisan pieces.

The Gorey gifts emporium also takes orders for bespoke jewellery, while welded jewellery, including bracelets and anklets, repairs, engraving and piercing are available too. Christmas Service appointments need to be booked in advance online as limited and some are already fully booked.
