G.Evans1 hr ago
Hailing originally from New Ross and now living in Kilsheelan Co. Tipperary, the popular principal was recently celebrated at a get together in the Parochial Hall in Duncannon. Ms Power was thanked by Georgina Molloy on behalf of the Parents' Council and Bridget Walsh on behalf of the staff, and Kevin Connolly thanked Ms Power on behalf of the Board Of Management. Ms Power spoke with fondness of her time in Duncannon, referring to the school as "a very special place that she will always hold close to her heart". Staff and parents organised tea and refreshments on the night and many people from the community were present; including past pupils and staff members; Fr. Tom Orr and many members of the wider school community. Ms Power has since taken up a new role closer to her home in Grangemockler NS and would like to thank everyone for all the kind words and gifts received on the night.
