The visitors were impressed as they viewed the informative subject displays and engaged in hands-on activities such as decorating spooky cookies in the Home Economics room and getting stuck into experiments in the Science Lab. Senior Prefects took the lead as they showed the girls and their parents around the school, while teachers and parents were available to help out and answer any queries. Music filled the corridors and people claimed they "could have stayed all night." In principal Toni Ormond's address to those who visited on the night she said: "Our Lady of Lourdes has a proud tradition of excellence in education for 100 years and is looking forward to continuing to promote the ethos of our founding Holy Faith Sisters as we embark on the next 100". She also spoke about the emphasis the school places on the holistic development of the girls and that wellbeing is at the core of everything. Deputy Principal Catherine O'Donoghue highlighted the importance of learner experiences and learner outcomes and that every student is encouraged to be the best they can be in everything they do. She shared statistics on Leaving Cert results, which are always above the national average with 100% going on to study at third level in 2023. Head girl Aimee O'Lone, deputy head girl Laura Doherty and Eimear Rossiter, first year, then shared their personal experiences of school life. Afterwards everyone was invited to the ref where fifth year students, parents and members of the Board of Management served refreshments made by the Home Economics students. All the visitors were very impressed and agreed that the night was a resounding success.
