Voters choose 2 newcomers as 3 elected to Bay City Public Schools Board of Education

BAY CITY, MI – Voters in three counties decided the winners of three seats up for reelection on the Bay City Public Schools Board of Education Tuesday, Nov. 5, and when the votes were finished being tallied early Wednesday morning, two new faces were among the winners. Of the seven people running for the three open seats on the board, newcomers Wendy Legner (14,178 votes) and Mason Pressler (10,124 votes) were among the three with the highest vote totals in the race. Carrie Sepeda, an incumbent, also recorded 10,177 votes and will be back on the board. Others who garnered votes in the race were David N. Welch (8,361), David Hackett (6,267), Christopher A. Connors (7,857) and Thomas A. Baird (9,526). Of those, Welch and Baird are incumbents. These numbers are according to unofficial vote totals provided by the clerks in Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties.
