According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington , a freeze warning remains in effect until 9 a.m. Thursday morning for Hamilton, Clermont, Butler, and Warren counties in Ohio; Campbell, Kenton, and Boone counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn, Franklin, Switzerland, and Ohio counties in Indiana.
Subfreezing temperatures as low as 30 are expected. Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
Temperatures will rise to around 60 degrees thanks to abundant sunshine that will move into the area Thursday afternoon.
Lows in the lower to mid-30s will lead to some frost and freezing conditions overnight and into Friday morning. Under mostly sunny skies, temperatures will rebound to the mid- to upper 60s by the afternoon.
A warming trend is expected to occur over the weekend. Some frost will be possible Saturday morning, but otherwise, milder temperatures will start to build into the area. Overnight lows will trend more in the 40s and lower 50s. Mostly sunny conditions are forecast through the weekend and the beginning of next week.
