CLEVELAND, Ohio — Worried about missing a key ingredient for the Thanksgiving meal on Thursday? Don’t panic. Some grocery stores will be open on limited hours, so you’ll be able to make that emergency run. But several major retailers will be closed for the holiday, including Walmart and Target. And, of course, don’t expect services such as mail delivery and garbage pickup. Below is a list of closings and holiday hours for Thanksgiving:Federal offices: County offices: State offices: Post offices: RTA: Sunday/holiday serviceSchools: Closed.: ClosedLibraries: Closed.Garbage collection: There will be no garbage collection in Cleveland and other municipalities on Thursday. The holiday will delay pickup by one day after Thanksgiving in Cleveland. Check with your municipality about schedule changes for pickup.Retail stores: Walmart, Target, Sam’s Club and Costco all will be closed on Thanksgiving. CVS Pharmacy will close all non-24 hour locations early on Thanksgiving. You can call your local store or check store and pharmacy hours on the CVS Pharmacy website. Most Walgreens locations will be closed. However, nearly all 700 Walgreens 24-hour locations will remain open. Rite Aid hours will vary, with some closing at 5 p.m. while others will stay open until 10 p.m. Giant Eagle grocery stores will be open until 3 p.m. Thursday. Most Kroger stores will close in the early evening on Thanksgiving. Meijer stores will be open until 5 p.m. Dollar General will be open until 10 p.m. and Dollar Tree until 5 p.m. Big Lots will be open until 9 p.m. Aldi, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods locations will be closed. Some stores, such as Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Macy’s, Best Buy, will open later on Thanksgiving to give Black Friday shoppers an early start.
