'Wheel of Fortune' Reacts to Baby Watching Show—'Never Misses an Episode'
Wheel Of Fortune bosses were charmed as someone shared a clip of a baby watching the TV show and said that he "never misses" it.
The long-running game show is probably aimed at an older audience than the infant sector. But it seems at least one baby finds it gripping viewing and it's apparently his "favorite" show, rather than any children's series or animated adventures.
The clip shared on X—which used to be Twitter —showed the tot sat on the floor of a living room clad in a onesie.
An array of brightly colored and inviting toys were on the floor at his disposal. But the rattles and the walker were of little interest as Wheel of Fortune was playing on the big TV screen on the wall, and the popular show was commanding the baby's attention.
The person who uploaded the cute video said the baby tuned in to every single episode of the quiz show. Tagging the host Ryan Seacrest , they wrote: he never misses an episode. It's his favorite show."
The show was quick to respond to the post on the social media platform, with a message from its official account saying: "Aww so cute!" They added a red heart emoji.
Wheel of Fortune has been hugely popular with viewers since it was first launched in 1975. Almost 50 years later it's still a big part of the viewing schedule, and earlier this year it returned for a 42nd series with Seacrest as the incoming host.
The American Idol star took over after the departure of Pat Sajak following 41 seasons at the helm. The veteran presenter had joined the game show in 1981 but in 2023 it was confirmed that he was stepping down after his long run and that he would be passing the reins to another host.
Soon afterward it was announced that Seacrest would be taking over. As he stepped up to the plate in the new series, he said that hosting Wheel of Fortune was "a dream job" for him and thanked viewers for their warm welcome.
"I've been a fan of this show since as a kid, watching in Atlanta with my family," he said.
"I know how special it is that Wheel has been in your living rooms for the past 40 years," added the TV star. "I'm just so grateful to be invited in. I also know I've got some very big shoes to fill."
