Pop singer Charley stole the show at the 2024 Aria Awards on Wednesday. The Sydney-based chanteuse walked the red carpet at the prestigious Australian music awards in an ensemble inspired by the character of Kida from the 2001 Disney film, Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Charley worked her best angles in a blue flesh-baring Grecian-style gown which she made herself. The skimpy frock featured a revealing top half made from very little fabric that showcased her décolletage and abs. The rest of the gown hugged her slender frame in a Z-shaped pattern, with some of the fabric gathering at the hips to show off her trim pins. The Aria-nominated artist complimented her dress with a pair of chrome Steampunk-inspired heels. The shoes shone brightly as Charley posed and featured prominent buckles and belt straps. The singer also drew attention with her indigo hair colour at the event. The Hard For Me singer detailed the process of how she put together her dress last week on her Instagram. In a video shared to her 77,000 followers, the multi-talented artist showed off her seamstress skills. 'I've decided to fly very close to the sun and make a dress based on Kida for a music awards ceremony in Australia.' Charley updated her fans on how the dress was going, showing it on the tailor's dummy looking almost like the finished product she wore on Wednesday. She then cut back to what she did before, gathering materials for her gown. 'I knew I needed a bra, so I cut up this lacey so it could show underneath. Got that blue fabric and just started laying it all over everything and just pinning it everywhere. I actually did not know what I was doing, but we got there.' She then revealed that she got her professional seamstress friend to help her complete the dress. The two friends worked together and Charley exclaimed that it was 'all coming together.' She then took the gown-in-progress back to her house after pinning 'the f**k out of it' before she stitched it all together. 'I had a to sew and sew and sew, all by hand,' she said. Charley's fans took to the comments on the post, clearly impressed by her hidden talent. 'I love that you make your outfits! So talented,' wrote one fan, while another said, 'Talented little angel!' 'Okay pop off my talented girly,' said someone else. 'Love that you make this s**t yourself. So much yas,' another person remarked. Meanwhile, one more fan said, 'It's so nice to see that people out there still make their own clothing! Double talented!' Last year, the ARIA Nominated Sydney based pop chanteuse released her debut EP, 'Timebombs.' In 2024, she toured with American pop star Fletcher, and is currently working on her debut album.
