Woman arrested with over 30 grams of drugs in Asheville
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – A traffic stop in Asheville led to a woman's arrest after officers discovered over 30 grams of drugs to be in her possession Saturday night.
Officers conducting proactive enforcement in the north area of downtown Asheville around 9:21 p.m. witnessed a vehicle committing multiple traffic violations and initiated a stop, according to the Asheville Police Department.
Reports state during the traffic stop on Crescent Street, the driver, identified as Alexis Helena Cromer, was found to be in possession of a trafficking amount of fentanyl, methamphetamine and Oxycodone. The 28-year-old was taken into custody without incident.
Officers seized the following:
Miscellaneous scales, baggies, and foil
Cromer was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under no bond due to a parole violation. She has been charged with the following:
Trafficking fentanyl
Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver methamphetamine
Felony possession of schedule II
possession of drug paraphenalia
Misdemeanor possession of schedule II
Parole commission violation
Felony probation violation out of county
Driving while license revoked
Failure to stop for a red light
Unsafe lane change
Improper use of lane
