Woman identified as suspect in wild high-speed chase across county lines
SAN ANTONIO - A wild chase across county lines ended in chaos on Thursday afternoon, with 37-year-old Audrey Marie Schneider identified as the woman behind the wheel.
The drama kicked off around 2 p.m. when a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper attempted to pull Schneider over on Interstate 35 in Comal County. But instead of stopping, Schneider hit the gas and led the trooper on a reckless pursuit through Comal and Bexar Counties.
During the high-speed chase, Schneider crashed into multiple vehicles, including the trooper's patrol car.
The chase finally came to an end at the Alamo Quarry, where Schneider ran into the Salons by JC. But her trouble didn't stop there—when the trooper entered the salon to arrest her, she allegedly assaulted him.
Fortunately, the trooper was not injured in the scuffle. Schneider now faces a slew of felony and misdemeanor charges and remains behind bars at the Bexar County Jail.
