World Museum of Mining presents 'Butte the Bold'

B.Hernandez1 days ago

The World Museum of Mining announces the staging of "Butte the Bold," an all-original, all-volunteer, living history play that brings Butte's rich history to life. The play will be held at the Covellite Theatre, 215 W. Broadway, on July 11 and 18.

"Butte the Bold" tells the (mostly true) story of some of the lesser known, yet no less important, characters and events in Butte's past. The play is narrated by the legendary miner and storyteller Matty Kiely, portrayed by Butte's own John Emeigh. Kiely guides the audience through each act, painting a colorful picture of some of Butte's most captivating stories.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $25. All proceeds from the event will support the World Museum of Mining's mission to preserve and present the history of mining and the cultural heritage of Butte.
