WWE Bad Blood Recap: Roman And Cody Win, Rock Returns, 3 Huge Takeaways

J.Wright27 min ago

The actual tag-team match wasn't the smoothest, but the ultimate pay-off in the main event was the high point of the WWE Bad Blood premium live event.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, but that's a very simplistic way to describe what happened in the main event.

Here are the three biggest takeaways from the Bad Blood main event.

The Rock Returned But Didn't Reveal His Allegiance

In case you missed it, The Rock returned at the very end of Bad Blood. He was wearing another signature Final Boss vest and carrying the People's Championship on his shoulder. After Roman and Cody Rhodes had gained control of things in the ring, The Rock stayed at the top of the ramp where he raised not one, not two, but three fingers.

It was intentionally cryptic and designed to make you wonder which side of the massive Bloodline war he'll be on.

It seems inevitable we're looking at The Rock vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania for the Ula Fala. The sacred item has been raised to the level of a title, so it is totally fitting.

This setup feels like it is leading us that way.

Jimmy Uso's Return Was Overshadowed, But We Get It.

We got to celebrate the often overshadowed work of Jimmy Uso for about five minutes. The moment the Final Boss' music and graphics hit, it was all about him.

I get it, The Rock is...the Rock. However, Jimmy got a well-deserved pop for appearing ringside and causing distraction, leading to the Rock and Roman's win. He also influenced Roman to come back into the ring to save Cody from the New Bloodline's assault.

Jimmy's work throughout the entire Bloodline saga has been phenomenal, but he was again a bit overshadowed.

Jacob Fatu Still Isn't Quite at 100%

The Samoan Werewolf had his moments in Atlanta, but he still doesn't appear 100 percent after his ankle injury at Summerslam. Even in less than optimal form, he can still do things in the ring that very few men or women in the industry can do.

I would love to see him get a break from action, not from TV, but from matches and scraps, so we can see him at his best over the next few months.

Here is a look at all of the results from WWE Bad Blood.
