Wyndham Clark Teases an Anticipated Partnership With Rival After Crushing the 26YO &Co. at Presidents Cup Showdown

Soon enough two Presidents Cup rivals will shake hands, and pat each other on the back. And, one of them, Wyndham Clark, is already excited about partnering with his Sunday Singles rival at TGL.

Clark halved his match against PGA Tour's rising star, Min Woo Lee on Sunday. Although, Team USA crushed the International once again, the duel – a nervy roller-coaster ride for the two Presidents Cup rookies – went on till the 18th green.

Both started their day with a birdie putt on the first hole. The lead swung between the two PGA Tour pros as Lee took the early lead and was 2-up at the turn. From there, Clark took the charge wiping off the Aussie's lead.

On the 17th, the American star had a chance to seal the match going 1-up. But on the 18th, the spunky Australian from Perth swung his approach to two feet and sunk the putt tying the match. It seems Clark quite enjoyed the jousting.

The one-time major winner took to Instagram to share how pumped up he is to partner with his Sunday rival. "MinWoo27Lee [Min Woo Lee] excited to actually be on the same team soon. [The Bay Golf Club]," the former US Open champion wrote on his Instagram story . The California-based team also includes Ludvig Aberg and Shane Lowry. TGL will debut on ESPN primetime in January.

It's kind of cool having an international team. We all get along. We've had dinner together, and I'm friends with Shane and Min Woo and getting to know Ludvig better," Clark was quoted by ESPN at the time of the team announcement. So, perhaps it's little surprise that days after intense rivalry, Clark is eager to team up with a rival.

That sparked a war of words on social media with deleted tweets and apologies . Clark was not having it, however. The former US Open champion, before teeing up against Min Woo Lee tweeted, "Then there's the guy who didn't even have a tee time..."

The three-time PGA Tour winner tweeted mocking An's absence from the Saturday sessions. Wyndham Clark raked in 1.5 points from a possible 4, Min Woo Lee netted one point from two matches, and An took 1.5 points from three matches.
