13-year-old facing murder charges after Aurora man was stabbed multiple times

AURORA, Colo. (KKTV) - A 13-year-old is accused of murder after a man was stabbed multiple times over the weekend.

Aurora police, who are calling the deadly incident a “family dispute,” say they responded to East Easter Circle on the south side of the city Sunday night for a reported stabbing at an apartment complex.

“Once on scene, officers located a 40-year-old unresponsive man lying in an entryway. The man had multiple obvious stab wounds to his torso,” the Aurora Police Department said in a news release Monday. “Officers performed lifesaving actions until medical responders arrived. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died of his injuries.”

The 13-year-old boy was still at the apartment when officers arrived and was taken into custody. He was later booked into jail and is facing second-degree murder charges.

Sister station CBS Denver has identified the victim as Dominic Ramon Robinson. Police have not said what his relationship is to the suspect or what may have led up to the stabbing.

The boy’s name is being withheld due to his age.
