15-year-old suspect in deadly Marketplace shooting surrenders: Bakersfield PD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield police officials said the 15-year-old suspected in the deadly shooting Sunday at The Marketplace has turned himself in to police.

Bakersfield Police Department officials told 17 News, Albert Briseno Jr., 15, turned himself in to authorities Tuesday afternoon.

Briseno was wanted in the shooting death of Prince Michael Banner, 15. Banner was shot and wounded at The Marketplace in a parking lot behind a movie theater. Banner was taken to Kern Medical where he was pronounced dead.
