MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One of the men charged in connection to Memphis rapper Young Dolph's death is set to be back in court this morning.

This comes as another suspect is preparing for his trial in connection to the shooting.

MORE ON YOUNG DOLPH

Cornelius Smith is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy, and attempted first-degree murder. Smith also admitted to being one of the gunmen who killed Dolph.

During the trial against Justin Johnson, the man convicted in Dolph's murder, Smith testified Memphis rapper Yo Gotti's brother, Anthony "big jook" Mims, put a $100,000 hit on Young Dolph.

"I can't tell how many times I shot. I was just continuously," Smith said. "I was aiming for Dolph."

Smith then identified Hernandez Govan as the person who set up the deal. Govan is set to be back in court next week on the same charges Smith is facing.

November 22 is his last day for any guilty plea. After that, it will be time for trial, which is set for March 10.

Jermarcus Johnson, who is Justin Johnson's half-brother, pleaded guilty to three counts of accessory after the fact. He is also set to be in court next week.

Who are the other suspects left in Young Dolph case?

Earlier this month Justin Johnson, the man convicted in Dolph's death, was sentenced to 35 additional years in prison for conspiracy to commit murder and for felon in possession of a handgun.
