Halloween 2024: Pumpkin patches around the Rochester area!

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — What better way to decorate for Halloween than to carve a pumpkin into a Jack-O-Lantern?

Local farms in the Rochester area have a mix of already-picked pumpkins and some are inviting customers to come pick their own.

RochesterFirst.com has compiled a list of farms, markets, and stands that sell pumpkins:

The Great Pumpkin Farm

Open 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily, just a short drive west on the Thruway. Hundreds of already picked pumpkins, hayrides, food and attractions. Free admission during the week. Amusement rides and more special events on the weekends when it's $18 to get in.

Chase Farms Market

Stop by this Fairport farm's pumpkin patch from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. You will be able to hitch a wagon ride and grab a pumpkin. The market itself is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunscape Farms

Pumpkins, gourds, and all other fall decor are now available at both the Penfield and Greece Sunscape Farms locations. You can pick up a pumpkin or gourd in a variety of different colors and sizes!

Blodgett Family Farm

This family farm in Hilton offers pumpkins for $5 and under, along with multiple food, beverage, and activity options. Their pumpkin patch is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

West Wind Farm at Blue Barn Cidery

West Wind Farm's Pumpkin Patch is open until Halloween! You will be able to hunt through the fields and look at the pumpkins of various sizes, shapes, and colors! You can also check out their corn maze while you're there!

The farm is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The farm is closed in the event of rain or wet picking conditions.

Long Acre Farms

Pumpkins are available at this Macedon farm — whether you purchase a Barnbuster ticket or are just stopping by the farm! The fall hours at the farm are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Bauman's Farm Market & Greenhouses

Bauman's in Penfield has pumpkins prepared to pick up for the Fall season, along with sweet corn and tons of apples! Speaking of pumpkins, if you are in the mood to get scared, you can stop by their Scary Pumpkin Room!

Wickham Farms

Heading back to Penfield — Wickham Farms is celebrating its annual Fall Festival through Halloween, giving you enough time to pick out a pumpkin to bring home with you — along with enjoying all of the other fall activities at the farm.

Woody Acres

Here's another option in Penfield — this Christmas tree farm also sells pumpkins, gourds, squash, and more. Pumpkins are available to purchase up until Halloween. You can purchase a pumpkin and maybe check out their maze!

Powers Farm Market

Just near this Pittsford farm's corn maze are the U-Pick pumpkins, in addition to activities such as hayrides, corn bin basketball, the new skee ball, and meet-and-greets with farm animals!

Willard Farm Stand

Listed on the Town of Pittsford's website , Willard Farm Stand is open until October 31 to offer not just pumpkins, but strawberries, corn, peaches, apples, and vegetables.

The farm stand is open every day of the week from 7:30 a.m. until sundown.

Green Acre Farm and Nursery

Green Acre Farm and Nursery has tables upon tables of pumpkins and gourds of different colors and sizes, along with corn stalks, firewood, and straw bales!

You can grab a pumpkin Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Whittier Fruit Farm

Hop aboard the tractor and wagon to Whittier Fruit Farm's Pumpkin Patch! The patch is only open on October weekends for you to pick tall, fat, huge, or small pumpkins. Picking hours are Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Stokoe Farms

Until October 27, you can stop by this Scottsville farm's Harvest Fest to pick up pumpkins from its pumpkin patch! You and the family can grab one and check out the farm's over 40 unique activities and special events! Tickets can be purchased on their website.

Autumn 2024: Fall fun and events happening in and around Rochester!

Deconinck Farms

Pumpkin season has begun at this Spencerport farm! On top of picking up regular pumpkins, you can place an order for "Flower Pumpkins!" Their farm stand can be found on Pine Hill Road and their flower stand can be found on Hinkleyville Road.

G and S Orchards

This Walworth farm has options for you to pick a pumpkin yourself or grab one from their farm stand. They will offer pumpkins until "late October."

You Pick hours are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday through Sunday and on Columbus Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The stand hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
