Revealed: Inside Omaze's new £3m 'Hollywood Hills' prize draw mansion with six-bedrooms, swimming pool and blockbuster views

Omaze have snapped up a £3m 'Hollywood Hills' mansion to be offered in one of their up-coming prize draws, MailOnline can reveal.

The award-winning property, named Rock Mount, looks like a stylish home Brad Pitt or Leonardo Di Caprio could kick back and sip a cocktail in.

But while the six-bedroom property does have star quality, it is actually located a few miles outside of Los Angeles .

Rock Mount is nestled in a conservation area on the site of a former quarry in the village of Caldy, Merseyside - one of the area's most exclusive addresses.

It originally came on the market two years ago and was priced at a whopping £3.75m before later being reduced to £3.5m.

But canny Omaze buyers bagged the stunning home for £2.9m and it is now ready to become the latest house in the company's mega prize draw portfolio.

It boasts a heated outdoor swimming pool and large terrace with an outdoor kitchen with spectacular views across the Dee Estuary and Welsh mountains.

The area has been a hotspot for famous footballers in the past including former Liverpool stars Emile Heskey, Robbie Fowler, Ian Rush and John Barnes.

It also features a 57ft long open plan kitchen and living space, a master bedroom with en suite and large garage.

Estate agents Ingram Premium Listings state: 'This architecturally designed west Hollywood Hills style unique house dates back to 2013.

'The current owners worked with renowned architects Shedkm to create the clever design.

'Nominated for the RIBA Mansell house of the year: The judging panel noted; 'with elements of America's west coast mid-century modern homes, it is an original and inspiring new composition that matches the quality of its setting in every way'.

'The property manages to be architecturally impressive, whilst also ticking every box for being a fabulous home, with inside/outside entertaining and versatile family living space.

'Built on the outcrop of the Wirral Peninsula, Rock Mount's main living space juts out to uncompromisingly pull in and absorb the surrounding National Trust woodland.

'The low design creates endless potential to maximise the coastal views. This has to be seen to be appreciated.'

Fundraising platform Omaze is able to offer such jaw-dropping home by partnering up with charities - the money then raised from the draw is offered to organisations including the British Red Cross.

It comes after MailOnline revealed last year how most of the properties won in the competition are then sold less than 12 months later.

Uttam Parmar, 58, from Leicestershire, was a winner who decided to sell up his Cornish mansion within eight weeks of scooping the jackpot.

Mr Parmer said he and his wife, Raki, 53, simply could not afford the upkeep of the property.

He said: 'It is a fantastic house in a beautiful Cornish location but the price of it comes with a price to keep it and we can't afford to. We are selling it and not keeping it as a holiday home.

'If we could afford to keep it we would. It is beautiful. But we are looking to buy some land or a smaller property instead.'

Widower June Smith, 74, of Essex also put her waterside home in Fowey, Cornwall, for sale last year for £4.5m.

David Adams, head of David Adams Luxury Property told the Mail that the running costs for many of these properties can be around £100,000 a year.

He said: 'If you are used to living in a normal home where you pay a couple of hundred pounds a month in electricity, maybe a few thousand a year in council tax it comes as a huge shock when they receive the first bill for £20,000 or £30,000.

'It is completely unsustainable and at that point a lot of people will decide it's not for them.'

Rock Mount was also crowned the RIBA North West regional winner in 2013.

The exclusive area has been a hotspot for famous footballers and is where former Everton and Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez and his family still live.

Rock Mount was also rented by 48-year-old Kevin Thelwell, the director of football at Everton, until recently.

The stunning property has 4,750sq.ft of accommodation with a 57ft long open plan kitchen and living space, a master bedroom with en suite, four further bedrooms and a family bathroom and study on the ground floor.

On the first floor there is a large entrance hall, family room and a staff bedroom with en suite.

Outside there is a heated swimming pool, entertaining terrace with an outdoor kitchen and a good sized garage in the grounds which are around 1.18 acres

Kilkenny Irish Blue Limestone was chosen to blend the landscape further with the skyline and extend the living space outdoors for a seamless junction between the interior and exterior.

Omaze have been approached for comment.
