TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Don't forget to bring snacks! All next weekend, Tampa Bay residents can watch select movies for free at the Tampa Theatre thanks to Pluto TV's "Summer of Cinema" campaign.

The summer campaign supports independent and family-run theaters across the country, including Tampa's very own. Built in 1926, the nonprofit Tampa Theatre is one of America's most "elaborate movie palaces" and beloved gathering places.

As part of the free movie weekend, the theater will be playing several movies including the star-studded "KINDS OF KINDNESS," which premiered on June 21, and the 1995 hit "APOLLO 13.

KINDS OF KINDNESS will have four screenings in the microcinema while APOLLO 13 will have one screening in the historic hall. Movie-goers can watch the films from July 6-7.
