14 arrested for ‘alcohol-related violations’ in Madera

MADERA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Fourteen people have been arrested for what police say are "alcohol-related violations" in Madera in the last three days, the Madera Police Department said.

Madera Police announced on Monday evening that 14 people were arrested for alcohol-related violations beginning Friday morning and ending Monday morning.

According to officers, these violations ranged its severity from public intoxication to driving while impaired.

"If you choose to consume alcohol do so in a safe and responsible manner and never drink and drive!" Officers said in a social media post.

Because of the arrests, the Madera Police Department wants to remind all residents that overindulging in alcohol can have "serious consequences" and can lead to jail time.
