1 dead, 1 injured in officer-involved shooting

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan State Police are currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened in Jackson Wednesday evening.
Police say that an unspecified Jackson law enforcement agency was involved in a car chase that ended in a shootout.
One officer was injured in the exchange of gunfire, but police say they expected to survive.
Police confirm the suspect is deceased.
At this time, it is unknown what law enforcement agencies were involved, if there were other injuries, or where exactly this incident took place. 6 News has reached out to the Michigan State Police for more information.
