3 die, 1 injured in car crash on Elmo Highway

Three people died and one person was injured in a car crash on Elmo Highway at Scofield Avenue near Wasco around 4:20 p.m. Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to CHP, a Porterville man was driving east on Elmo Highway and the other car with a male driver and two female passengers was traveling north on Scofield Avenue. The solo driver did not stop at a stop sign and hit the car with the three people.
After the collision, the car with three people continued out of control and one of the passengers was ejected. The Delano man who was driving and the two female passengers died from the crash. Their identities will be released by the Kern County Coroner's Office at a later time.
