Sunny skies are expected this weekend, but a slight chance of rain will still be possible.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 49 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies kicking off the last day of the week.
There will be a chance of sprinkles before 2 p.m. today, followed by scattered showers into the afternoon hours. Mostly cloudy skies are expected to stick around, with a high near 65 degrees.
Scattered showers will persist before 8 p.m. tonight, followed by a chance of sprinkles until 2 a.m. Tonight’s low will be around 46 degrees.
Saturday will bring a chance of sprinkles before 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. — partly sunny skies are expected otherwise, with a high near 70 degrees.
Partly cloudy skies will follow on Saturday night, along with a slight chance of sprinkles before 8 p.m. Saturday night’s low will be around 47 degrees.
Mostly sunny skies will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 73 degrees. Partly cloudy skies will follow on Sunday night, with a low around 49 degrees.
