EDWARDSVILLE: Mary Ann Brooks, owner of Brooks & Co. Innovative Hair Design, Gateway Shopping Center, will donate all of the proceeds from services rendered 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Alfred “Fritz” Hall Legacy Fund.

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, discover medical breakthroughs, support patients and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

Fritz Hall, former president of Benton Foundry, died from pancreatic cancer in March 2013 at the age of 71.

There will also be raffles for gift baskets and gift certificates. Tickets are available for two for $1, eight for $3 and 15 for $5.

EXETER: Cub Scout Pack 310 will hold registration at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15, at the Exeter Scout Home and Community Center, Lincoln Street. Boys in grades 1-5 are welcome to join. A parent or legal guardian must accompany each boy.

WILKES-BARRE: The Pi Beta Gamma Club of Wyoming Valley will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Pasquale’s Ristorante and Pizzeria, Sans Souci Parkway.

Arrangements for the meeting are being made by Kay Jones, chairperson, and her committee members Peg Malkemes, Maryann Smith, Evelyn Hagan and Carla Watkins.

The club’s Christmas party will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.

The club recently welcomed two new members, Evelyn Hagan and Carla Watkins.

New members and guests are welcome.
