Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey back at work after medical episode captured on video

Gov. Kay Ivey was back in the office Monday morning after receiving medical attention at a campaign event in Montgomery on Sunday night.

Gina Maiola, communications director for Ivey, said she was with Ivey in the governor's office Monday morning "and she is doing great."

Maiola said Ivey had meetings all day in the Capitol on Monday, including meetings with Senate Pro Tempore Greg Reed and House Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter.

Maiola said the governor plans to go to the polls to cast her vote in person in Tuesday's election.

Sunday night, Ivey attended campaign event for District 2 Congressional candidate Caroleene Dobson.

WAKA posted video of Ivey at the event, including a moment where she appears to be shaking and unsteady as she is standing near Dobson, who is speaking.

An ambulance was called .

Emergency workers evaluated Ivey and treated her with fluids for dehydration, Maiola said. Ivey felt better after the treatment and went home, Maiola said.
