All About U celebrates 15 years in business

On Thursday, the Fort Morgan Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at All About U to celebrate the store's 15th year of service. Owner Andrea Spresser opened her business in Brush 15 years ago and moved to Fort Morgan in September 2019.

"I've been here at my location in Fort Morgan for five years, and I am super excited!" said Spresser, reflecting on her journey. "It was a good move, and I'm thrilled to be here."

The business started when Spresser and her mother, Claudia Stallings, first opened their doors in Brush, making gift baskets and specialty chocolates. Her mother retired in 2018, and Spresser revamped the store and increased the inventory and space by opening up an additional area in the building she was in.

Spresser shared a heartwarming story about a young customer who used to visit her store when she received coupons for free chocolates from the library when she first opened. "She only knew us as the chocolate ladies and the chocolate store. Now, 14 or 15 years later, she works here and still refers to us as the chocolate store. It's fun to see multi-generations shop with us, from little kids to their weddings and now their children."

Over the years, All About U has evolved to focus on helping customers celebrate special moments. "Our focus now is really on what we can help you celebrate," said Spresser. "From kitchen items and serving dishes to birthday and new baby gifts, and even a bereavement section for ceremonies or celebrations of life, we have centered everything around celebrations."

For its 15th anniversary, the store featured a week of discounts, giveaways and a chance to win one of the many swag bags. Spresser said that she has enjoyed celebrating the event and reminiscing with her customers, some who have been shopping with her for the entire 15 years.

The ribbon cutting was initially planned for March 2020, shortly after Spresser joined the Chamber. However, the event was postponed due to COVID.

"We were supposed to have this event in March 2020, but COVID happened. As time passed, I decided to wait and hold my ribbon cutting for my five-year anniversary." Spresser explained.
