Allen County Council approves bond Wednesday for ACPL to begin improvements at various locations

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - On Wednesday, the Allen County Council approved a bond request for the Allen County Public Library (ACPL) to begin improvements to select ACPL locations. The bond is for Phase 1 of ACPL's Facilities Master Plan which is set to bring slight to heavy renovations to its Dupont, Georgetown, Hessen Cassel, and New Haven branches and Main Library as well as new buildings to its Aboite and Shawnee branches. The first phase of ACPL's Facilities Master Plan has an estimated price tag of $62.7 million, with $37 million coming from bonds and $25.7 million from the library's reserve funds.
