Baton Rouge Police arrest man accused of October shooting leaving 1 dead
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge Police arrested a man accused of a deadly October shooting.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said Deziron King, 19, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.
According to police, Ron Clark Jr., 28, was shot and killed on the night of Oct. 19 in the 1500 block of Snipe Street near Scenic Highway. No further information about the shooting was shared by investigators.
The East Baton Rouge Coroner's Office website shows that there have been 109 homicides in the parish this year as of Nov. 4. Data shows that there were 106 homicides in 2023.
