‘I spy with my little eye, a man with Fairfax warrants’: Stafford County deputies arrest Woodbridge man
STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — An off-duty deputy with the Stafford County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) recognized and arrested a man wanted out of Woodbridge.
Shortly before 7 p.m. on Nov. 6, off-duty Deputy X.D. Bates was in the area of Campus Drive when he noticed 48-year-old Aaron Byrd. He recognized Byrd from a recent wanted poster, noting he had two felony warrants out of Fairfax.
Two other deputies responded to the area, confirmed Byrd's identity and detained him, the SCSO wrote in a news release.

"I spy with my little eye, controlled substances," the release read.
The deputies searched his backpack and found suspected controlled substances and paraphernalia.
Byrd was charged with three counts of possession of controlled substances, possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and possession of controlled paraphernalia.
He was also served on his outstanding warrants and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
