Two Springfield men arrested after firearm burglary
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Two men are being held at the Sangamon County Jail following a burglary in Bloomington.
On Nov. 4, the Springfield Police Department was notified of a firearm burglary in Bloomington. SPD was also given information on a suspect and a vehicle that was potentially involved.

On Nov. 5, the SPD Street Crimes Unit located the suspect vehicle in the 1600 block of S. 16th St. An investigation led to a search warrant being issued.
The Crimes Unit, as well as other officers, served the warrant without incident and a search of the residence resulted in the recovery of a Glock 20 with an automatic switch and a Springfield Armory 9mm. The guns seized from the search were the same firearms stolen in the burglary that occurred in Bloomington.
SPD said that additional items that were taken during the burglary were also recovered during the search.
Two men were taken into custody. Frank K. Anderson, 23, of Springfield, was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm-no FOID. Bradford L. House, 20, of Springfield, was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon-machine gun and possession of a firearm-no FOID.
