Calls Mount Against Al Michaels for Spreading Misinformation as TNF Announcer Makes Mark Andrews-Hip Drop Tackle Claim

No matter what team wins or loses on Thursday Night Football, Al Michaels will always get slandered. The Cincinnati Bengals visited the M&T Bank Stadium to beat Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens. He said something in the game that people thought was a flat-out lie and won't cut him any slack for spreading "misinformation."

Coincidentally, the Ravens TE suffered a serious left ankle injury in the week 11 game against the Cincinnati Bengals in the last season. It was a tackle, but what Al Michaels said was something way off the mark. The injury made Mark Andrews miss a couple of games, but he eventually returned to play against the Chiefs in the AFC title match.

The initial prognosis of Andrews's injury was that it happened due to a hip drop tackle when he was tackled by the LB Logan Wilson, the Bengals LB. Andrews had to undergo surgery to fix his fractured fibula and ligament damage.
