BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Boardman girls basketball program will be led this winter by a familiar face, Annie Pavlansky – former Lakeview and Kent State standout.

Last year, the Spartans got by Perry (57-56) in the tournament before having their season come to an end against No. 12 seed Hoban.

This season, Boardman must move on without the services of Mackenzie Riccitelli, Sam Duble and Mary Catherine Werth.

Pavlansky will have a pair of three-year letterwinners in Ava Freeborough (4.3 ppg, 2.3 apg) and Sarah Bero (10.7 ppg, 8.3 rpg) back in the fold as well as Tori Strines (1.5 ppg) and Mikayla Rivera (2.8 ppg).

The new season tips off at Tallmadge on November 23.
