Brush Fire Ignites Off I-10 In Beaumont: Cal Fire A one-acre brush fire burned Friday afternoon, with smoke visible from the eastbound I-10 freeway.

BEAUMONT, CA — A fast-moving brush fire broke out Friday afternoon near the Oak Valley Parkway onramp to the eastbound Interstate-10 freeway in Beaumont, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department confirmed.

Flames were alongside the train tracks and were visible from the freeway.

Shortly after noon, arriving firefighters battled the blaze which had reached 50 x 100 in size, with a serious rate of spread, according to spokesperson Karina Espinoza.

The fire reached one acre, and firefighters remained at the scene for about an hour to mop up scene.

Prevention was notified and would run an investigation into the cause, she said.
