Burger King Employee Stabbed Near Stop & Shop In Old Saybrook: Report After being stabbed, the Burger King employee originally went back to work before being taken to the hospital, according to reports.OLD SAYBROOK, CT — A Burger King employee was stabbed near a Stop & Shop on Friday afternoon, according to media reports.
The stabbing took place just after 2 p.m. outside a nearby Stop & Shop and wine store on the Boston Post Road, WFSB 3 TV reported.
The Burger King employee returned to work after being stabbed and police responded and took the victim to the hospital, WFSB 3 TV reported.
Quintin Petty, 62, was arrested and is charged with first-degree assault and breach of peace, WTNH News 8 reported.
The victim is currently listed in stable condition.
Police Chief Michael Spera, via NBC Connecticut, said that " these instances are very rare in Old Saybrook..." and he lauded the efforts of police and expressed gratitude that the victim is expected to survive.
