Burnsville elections: Kautz re-elected mayor, Gustafson and Schulz win city council race
Elizabeth Kautz won the race for mayor of Burnsville in the Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, election, with Dan Gustafson and Cara Schulz being re-elected on the city council with 17 out of 17 precincts reporting.
Kautz received 61% of the vote while Will Johnson received 38%.
In the city council race, Gustafson received 37% of the vote while Schulz received 36% of the vote and Chris John received 26% of the vote.
Since she was first elected as the mayor of Burnsville back in 1994, Kautz has been a liaison for Burnsville's Economic Development Commission, Community Foundation, and the International Festival Committee. She has advocated for community engagement with the public in solving city-wise issues.
