Businesses Partner For Pink Friday Shopping Event In Northport Gypsy River Apparel and 22 other local businesses are gearing up to kick off the holiday season at Northport Pink Friday.NORTHPORT, AL — Gypsy River Apparel and 22 other local businesses are gearing up to kick off the holiday season at Northport Pink Friday.
{p/p}The community-centered event will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23.
Northport Pink Friday encourages shoppers to "shop small first" and experience the charm of the city's local businesses. Interested participants can pick up a Pink Friday Passport Card at any of the participating stores.
By making purchases at five or more locations, attendees will be entered into a drawing to win one of two $500 cash prizes.
The winners will be announced in a live drawing on Facebook Sunday, Nov. 24.
"We're thrilled to offer a fun, festive way for people to engage with our local businesses," Laura Parker said. "The community has really rallied behind this initiative, and we're excited to see the impact it has on our local economy and our small business owners."
The City of Northport will also recognize Pink Friday with a formal proclamation during the City Council meeting on Nov. 18.
