Canfield state champion commits to the college ranks

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Canfield standout Marina Koenig has officially committed to continue her softball career at Tiffin University.
Koenig has been a starter for the Cardinals since her freshman season and helped lead the team to the 2024 Division II state championship as well as a state runner-up finish in 2023.
For her efforts as a sophomore and junior, Koenig earned All-AAC honors.
Last season, Koenig led the Cardinals in runs scored (32), and stolen bases (10). She posted a batting average of .333 with 7 doubles, 3 triples, 3 home runs, and 18 RBI.
