Celebrity Chef To Open Mediterranean Restaurant In Bell Works Eyal Shani's Mediterranean street food restaurant, Miznon Kosher, is scheduled to open on Wednesday.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Celebrity Chef Eyal Shani will open his Mediterranean street food restaurant, Miznon Kosher , in its first New Jersey location on Wednesday.

Known for shows such as 'Food for Thought' and Israel's 'Master Chef,' Shani has been in the food scene for over 30 years and opened the first Miznon location in Tel Aviv in 2011.

Now opening in New Jersey, Miznon Kosher will be located on the ground floor of Bell Works and seat up to 65 guests.

The restaurant adheres to all Kosher dietary laws and features a large indoor dining space with an open kitchen where guests can observe food preparation.

"Adding Miznon Kosher, a globally renowned culinary brand with locations around the world, to the community at Bell Works is an incredible addition to the diverse lineup of eateries at Bell Market and throughout the Atrium," Ralph Zucker, the founder and CEO of Inspired by Somerset Development, said.

At Miznon Kosher's Bell Works location, the restaurant features chalk drawings that showcase handwritten phrases in Hebrew and English over olive-colored walls.

The design is by Tel Aviv artist Guy Mizrachy, and is intended to replicate the atmosphere of Tel Aviv.

"The Mediterranean street food eatery is the ideal tenant to cater to the vibrant mix of professionals working within our 'metroburb' and residents of the surrounding area," Zucker said. "The restaurant's reputation for delivering innovative and high-quality Meditteranean and Kosher food makes it the perfect addition to enhance our culinary landscape."

Miznon Kosher's menu features simple plates with dishes served in brown paper bags and on cardboard.

Fan favorites include a variety of pita dishes, plates, and sides such as the falafel burger, melting chickpeas, or rib-eye minute steak.

"After nearly a year of Miznon Kosher in New York, we are excited to spread our wings and bring the taste of Tel Aviv to our Jersey neighbors," Liad Balki, Miznon's director of operations, said. "Our mission is to bring our food philosophy and the essence of the pita to our Kosher community far and wide, and what a perfect way to do that by opening our second Miznon Kosher in the U.S. inside a forward-thinking community hub like Bell Works."

Miznon Kosher will be open at Bell Works for lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Restaurant guests should note that during several upcoming Jewish holidays in October, Miznon Kosher will be closed.

Bell Works is located at 101 Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel.
