Chapin boys beat Eastwood, collect 75th straight win against El Paso-area team

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Chapin boys basketball team played its way to a 58-37 win over the Eastwood Troopers in a non-district game at Chapin High School's Dawg Pound on Monday night.
With the win over Eastwood, Chapin collected its 75th consecutive win over an El Paso-area team.
Chapin's Jacob Garcia scored 18 points to lead the team in scoring. Vanderbilt commit Jayden Leverett tacked on 11 points.
Edward Avila led Eastwood in scoring in the contest with 12 points. Marcus Bennett recorded 8 points.
Chapin is off to a 2-0 start to the 2024-25 season—its first season under the direction of head coach Tevin Caldwell.
Eastwood falls to 1-1 on the season.
