M.Nguyen3 hr ago

Cheez-It's Cheez Wheelz is revving up game-day excitement, rolling into Athens, Georgia, for a high-stakes SEC showdown between the No. 11 University of Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers. This November clash at Sanford Stadium has major implications for whether perennial national championship contender Georgia can keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive. As fans gear up for this critical matchup, Cheez-It's custom food truck is here to take tailgating up a notch.

The Cheez Wheelz Experience

Cheez-It unveiled its Cheez Wheelz food truck earlier this month, igniting a buzz among college football fans. Explicitly designed for tailgates, the truck serves a menu packed with Cheez-It-inspired creations guaranteed to fuel your game-day spirit. At the heart of the menu is the Smash Cheez-Burger, a nod to Cheez-It's original Cheez-In Diner. If you want to show your team pride, try the UGA-inspired Georgia Bark-B-Q Cheez-Burger . This flavorful creation combines an Original Cheez-It cracker-infused smashburger with Pepper Jack Mac and Cheez-It, topped off with a fiery Hot & Spicy Cheez-It BBQ sauce on a buttery bun.

Other menu items include:

  • Original Extra Cheez-Burger: Sack your tastebuds with our Original Cheez-It cracker-infused smashburger, topped with irresistibly cheesy pimento cheese and served on a buttery bun.
  • Chili Mac & Cheez-It Dog: Is it a hot dog? Mac & Cheese? It's the perfect trick play! A beef hot dog, served on a bun, topped with Original Cheez-It cracker-infused chili, Pepper Jack Mac and Cheez-It, and crushed Pepper Jack Cheez-It crackers.
  • Cheezy Pickle Dip: The MVP of dips. Our Buffalo Wing Cheez-It cracker-infused dill pickle dip is topped with crushed cheesy crackers and pickle bits, capped off with dill seasoning and crushed Buffalo Wing Cheez-It crackers. Served with Cheez-It Snap'd crackers for dipping.
  • Can't Make It? Try It at Home

If you're unable to make it to Athens for the festivities, don't worry—Cheez-It has you covered. The Cheez Wheelz will make its next appearance at the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl in Orlando on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2024. And for those watching from the comfort of home, Cheez-It has released the recipe for its Original Extra Cheez-Burger, allowing fans to bring a slice of the tailgating experience to their kitchens.

Here's the gist: place your beef patty on a hot griddle, smash it with a spatula and weight, and season with salt and pepper. After flipping, add a scoop of Pimento Cheese Cheez-It mix. Butter your buns and toast them on the griddle. To assemble, place pickles on the bottom bun, add the smashburger with the Pimento Cheese Cheez-It mix, and top it with the buttery bun. Garnish with an Extra Big Cheez-It cracker secured with a bamboo pick, and you've got a burger that's perfect for game day.

    From Tailgates to Pop-Ups

This isn't Cheez-It's first foray into over-the-top culinary creations. Back in May, the brand launched the Cheez-In diner in Woodstock, New York, featuring an entire menu crafted around the iconic snack. Fans lined up for dishes like the Extra Cheezburger, Mac & Cheez-It, and Deluxe Cheez-It Milkshake, cementing Cheez-It's reputation for turning simple crackers into unforgettable meals.

The diner even included whimsical touches like a jukebox that accepted Cheez-It crackers as currency and a tasting station offering free samples of Cheez-It flavors. The response was overwhelming, with some guests so enamored they sold the burger wrappers as collectibles on eBay.
