Child almost kidnapped inside Bronx apartment building: NYPD
THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – A 2-year-old child was almost kidnapped while inside a Bronx apartment building's laundry room on Tuesday, according to the NYPD.
It happened on East 180th Street around 6:50 p.m. A woman was accused of following the toddler and their 23-year-old mother into the laundry room, police said.

The woman was then accused of grabbing the mother by the arm and demanding she give her the child, according to authorities. The mother was able to escape with her child and both were unharmed.
The suspect fled into the elevator and got off on the 12th floor of the building, police said.
